The Time Has Come

“The time has come the walrus said, to talk of many things” the beginning line of the famous poem “the walrus and the carpenter” by Lewis Carroll (One of my favourites

The time has come to consider making use of the live video feature on Facebook and Twitter, although it seems that Twitter was the first to offer this feature and then Facebook liked the idea so they too now offer this service

Since this idea is being made freely available to all users, I wonder how successful it will become

Will it take away some video producers away from YouTube? I doubt it as many prefer to record and edit videos rather that diving into the deep end of Live broadcasts

As I recently wrote about video productions, the edit and upload type, I’m now wondering if “The time has come” to do away with editing and rehearsing lines

Instead plunging into a live broadcast, and since in my past, I used to be one of 75 live monitors, so I got over being camera shy, or at least once I got into the idea I actually enjoyed being live

Having attemped to go live, it seems I have to use Chrome, at least with Facebook

While the idea of appearing in front of a camera may put off a lot people, because of all the mistakes which can’t be edited out or their performance improved

But as someone I have seen on the internet uses this idea of using videos as home based work, said people respond more to someone who stumbles because they are not a professional actor

So perhaps it’s time to move away from the written word and step into the present day to accept the challenge of live video

All I need to do now, is decide which platform to use and what subject to talk about
