Saga of the Lemon Lavender Cake and What a Wise Mentor Once Said About Home Business Zero Factor

Saga of the Lemon Lavender Cake and What a Wise Mentor said about Zero Home Business

I hope you'll bear with this story until the end because there is rare item of Truth to be found.

First, the Lemon Lavender Cake Saga.

At the beginning, I was intrigued by the combination of these two flavors - never experienced before.

I followed the recipe exactly. Making the lavender syrup filled my house with wonderful flower scents that lasted for hours and probably permeated the whole neighborhood with the luxury of lavender.

The 2 round layers were baked perfectly … the lemon curd was smooth, tangy and the right consistency …. and the cake was assembled easily - so far so good.

The last step was the easiest part of all, simply to add a little lemon glaze on the top to dribble down the sides. So far it looked like a successful accomplishment. But within a few minutes the glaze had slipped away from the top, down the entire cake like a thin veil to puddle along the bottom of the plate. The cake looked like it had just been stripped!

So, I couln't help but to relate this cake adventure to a home business experience. We start off with great ambition to try something different and delicious. We follow the steps and it looks like imminent success is at hand - somebody is interested in joining our business like a victory glaze on top. Then for an uknown reason, he or she is gone, not interested anymore or not returning calls.

The whole venture drips away and pools as disappointment at the base of so much effort and hope.

Should we try another cake … definitely less motivated and less hungry.

Here is what a wise mentor once said to me:

zero times zero equals zero

 100 x 0 = 0

This means that you can do 100 things right in your home business presentation and follow-up, but if there is just one thing that is missing or not in focus, then the whole enterprise measures to nothing...zilch….zero...goose egg.

This experience has given me more faith in a special new, all-inclusive, home business resource with the main purpose of bringing prospects unto the same page and at the same level of conversation to help eliminate as many zero factors as possible.

The ingredients are here for better preparation, motivation and excitement about starting and sharing a relevant home business opportunity. The top team members, like master chefs, are leveraged to bring their expertise for the final conversion. No more runny excuse glazes!

By the way, the cake tasted delicious even if it looked a little embarassing. A strong home business in these challenging, ever-changing times is without compromise, a smart venture to check out.

Just be better prepared and avoid the zero factor!

Appreciate your time and comments,

Fair and Democratic Home Business Mentor
