We Are Number One! Come Celebrate Canada's Birthday with Help from Lonely Planet

“The wish to travel seems to me characteristically human: the desire to move, to satisfy your curiosity or ease your fears, to change the circumstances of your life, to be a stranger, to make a friend, to experience an exotic landscape, to risk the unknown..” Paul Theroux

Canada was recently named Lonely Planet's number one travel destination of the year for 2017,  followed by Columbia and Finland in second and third place, respectively.

Did you know that the year 2017 is Canada's 150th birthday since Confederation?

And Canadians are celebrating with a year long "birthday party!"

We are neighbours with a weak Canadian dollar pushing down prices. This means that Americans, or overseas vsitors, should have plenty of pocket money to spend on Canada’s sights and sounds.

Here are a few highlights to see in Canada from Lonely Planet:

…exciting fusion food, especially seafood in down-home restaurants, and mysteriously underrated wine.

…dynamic cities with unique cultural foundations: Toronto, Quebec City, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary and Halifax.

...all natural parks will be free - see yourself hiking, fishing, boating, relaxing among mountain splendours, pristine lakes and flashing rivers.

And don't forget our "impeccable politeness."  Should you visit southeastern B.C. stop and say hello to the one and only Fair and Democratic Home Business Mentor over a cold, crisp Kokanee draft.

We are humble but we are Number One!

Thank you, Lonely Planet. Check their website: http://lonelyplanet.com/best-in-travel

Take a look at some beautiful sights and scenes from across my country.

You can also enter a contest at Lonely Planet to win a trip to Canada and Samsung technology to capture it!

Questions and comments are always welcome.  1 800 515 6916

Happy Travelling to Canada!

Annemarie and Don,

Fair and Democratic Home Business Mentor
