Social Cues Tell It All

Social Cues Tell It All

Many times I find myself welcoming new members into my Frustrated Network Marketers Facebook Group and in doing so they automatically assume that I'm interested in whatever it is they're selling. I can't be mad at them for giving it a go at trying to sell me, however Social Cues Tell It All.

I believe everyone thinks their opportunities, products and services are simply the best after all how could it not be, cause they're in it. I believe it to be super easy to think this, especially when you're new and gung-ho about hitting your sales goals, but we can't just dismiss picking up on the other person's social cues.

I know we all want to succeed in whichever business we're in, but we mustn't never mind the need to build trust in those whom we're trying to persuade into either joining our team or buying our nifty first of its kind business opportunity. This is not to say that with more information and assertiveness, people won't suddenly become interested in your thing-AMA-jig, but that you not lose yourself in your enthusiasm and miss reading the apparent social cues the other person is displaying.

Which social cues can you possibly pick up on? Are they asking questions, are they kindly changing the subject, and if in person, are they breaking eye contact?

I believe we can tell the difference between someone who's clearly interested and someone who politely couldn't give a hoot about paying a one time $7 to eMail thousands of paid members every 28 days, regardless of how much I sell what seems to be GOLD to me, I have to learn to read the potential prospect. If they simply don't believe they have a big enough problem, then regardless how amazing I believe my solution is, it just doesn't matter much cause at the end of the day, "Social Cues Tell It All," allowing me to just say NEXT!
