Tuesday, September 13, 2016 – Miami-based World Media & Technology Corp. (OTCQB: WRMT) [WOR(l)D] leader, designer and creator of the world’s most advanced, interconnected, next-generation wearable and mobile products announces its alliance with Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. [TAEC], a leader committed to breakthrough designs, to use the TZ1000 Application Processor Lite [ApP Lite™] microchips for wearables and IoTs with the new HELO [Health and Lifestyle Oracle] smart wristband.
WOR(l)D’s HELO is designed to constantly and discreetly evaluate and display individual data such as sleep quality, breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, temperature and oxygen, etc. in real time 24/7. Currently, the data is transmitted wirelessly through its own dedicated App to the user’s Android, iOS or Apple smartphone which permits the user to keep a record of crucial statistics and can be forwarded to an approved health professional in a secured manner by way of the Cloud.
Fabio Galdi, CEO of WOR(l)D: “Engaging with Toshiba at such a deep technical level allows us to consolidate our wearable technology platform, fast-track our product development and maintain our innovative edge. Using ApP Lite™ allows us to release new and exciting, life changing products that bring the benefits of wearable technology to all our customers. It enables us to continue to deliver on our corporate promise – ‘Join Wor(l)d and change your life’. We look forward to having a more informed, healthier and fitter network of connected users.”
Essentially, the TZ1000 ApP Lite™ combines Bluetooth® low-energy wireless, ARM® Cortex-M4F processor and flash memory chip in one solid unit. This powerful application will be embedded into the new HELO smart wristband in order to facilitate superior and precise detection, storage and encrypted transfer of user biological data directly to their smartphone or preferred healthcare provider. TAEC boasts that the TZ1000 ApP Lite™ is the foundation of its ApP Lite series based on several successful deployments in other IoT programs.
Deepak Prakash, S Director Logic LSI Business Unit, System LSI Group, TAEC: “We are pleased to be able to engage with Wor(l)d to help them bring Helo to market. Our TZ1000 low-power design enabled long battery runtime, and the development platform reduced the development time for Helo.”
