So you've decided to be an Entrepreneur...
You may be motivated because you are running out of unemployment or...

Those are all "motivations" but what is your WHY?
I think your WHY has to be your foundation
The Power of your WHY is what gets you to stick through the mundane - meanlingless - boring - downright nasty - ups and downs of being self-employed
Don't let you be victim of your own weak "Why"
Behind all great success you will somewhere find a big hairy audacious - fearless "WHY"
You may have heard this one but it bears repeating...
A man has a 10 foot long 20 inch plank and he offers you $20 to "walk the plank"...
No problem you say and then he adds...
But wait I forgot to mention that the plank is going to be in between the roofs of these two buildings...20 stores high
Did you attitude change? - same board - same length - same reward but...
The RISK was different
But change the circumstances again - same plank - 20 stories up and on the opposite side is your 4 year daughter - or granddaughter - and the building...
Is on Fire
Quite a change - isn't it?
Look beyond the motivation of monetary and material goals - they are great but they are fleeting. A new BMW is very cool - especially if you've been driving a Hooptie ride...
But by the time you're driving your 5th "Beemer" it's not that big a deal
So what is your WHY
Do you want to...
Send your children to the best universities without borrowing?
Be OUT of debt with Cash in your bank and a thousand in your wallet?
Buy your elderly parents a home
Travel the world with the wife you promised but never left the state with?
Help your church feed orphans in Africa - build homes for the homeless?
Your Passion - your WHY is the single most important motivating factor in your success or failure - Embrace it - keep it in the forefront of your life and when your "WHY" is satisfied - get another one - quick...
