Telling Stories - Making Sales

A Native American Proverb says…

 

Tell me the facts and I’ll learn. Tell me the truth and I’ll believe. But tell me a story and it will live in heart forever.”

 

I’ve been a storyteller for years.

 

Some of my best stories for years have been about insurance. (I’ve been selling insurance since 1979)...

 

Real stories about families that were able to maintain their lifestyles because of the benefits of the policies that I (or one of my agents) had sold...

 

I told the stories to anyone and everyone that I thought/think would benefit from the same products I sold to someone else.

 

It’s the same “story” that I told the insurance agent/brokers that I recruit to sell the insurance policies…

 

I tell agents to tell their prospects/clients the stories of the families that benefit from the products we sell.

 

That’s a clear and easy to understand “track to run on”.

 

But it’s NOT unique to the insurance business…

 

Every business needs to learn and communicate the “story” of the value of their product/service…

 

SO…

 

What’s the “story” about what YOU sell?

 

Get “it” out there.

 

American’s LOVE stories. So do Canadians, Mexicans, Russians, Brazilians, Romanians and every other country's citizens.

 

Ignore “story” and you’ll struggle. Embrace “story” and you’ll sell more, teach more, serve more…

 

Greatly blessed - Highly favored - always impressed that God has honored me to tell the story…
