Turns out that Ray is one of the best copywriters in the world.

Tony Robbins is one of his clients…

So is Michael Hyatt and the Chicken Soup for the Soul folks, Jeff Walker (the launch formula guy) and many others...

Ray is a master craftsman and his craft is copywriting

Advertising legend David Ogilvy was one of the first to say  “Consumers do not buy products. They buy product benefits.

Ray Edwards is one the ninja’s of telling the stories of benefits that get consumers to buy products and services (of integrity) that give them the benefits they want…

Ray is also a committed Christian. He’s not ashamed or afraid to profess the name of Jesus.

So it might not be surprising that this post repeats his “PASTOR” acronym for copywriting success.

Pay attention, this is something EVERY business can use in their business…

The “P.A.S.T.O.R.” model to copywriting that sells...

  • “P” is for PROBLEM
  • “A” is for AMPLIFY
  • “S” is for STORY and SOLUTION
  • “T” is for TRANSFORMATION and TESTIMONY
  • “O” is for OFFER
  • “R” is for RESPONSE

If you follow the format you have a template that you can use to successfully market any worthy product or service.

  1. Clearly identify the problem you can solve
  2. AMPLIFY that problem - emphasize it - increase the awareness of what your target consumer already knows she wants…
  3. Tell the story of the solution that YOUR product/service provides
  4. Offer a solution to the problem - YOUR solution
  5. Ask for the sale - the “response” is tantamount to “here is why you should give up some of YOUR money for the solution to the problem we’ve described and be excited about it”

I’m just an apprentice in the world of copywriting. It’s a skill I’m dedicated to studying, learning and honing for as long as I’m in business but it’s always easier to learn from the masters, like Ray Edwards - and you’ll save a lot of time.
