Smelling Selling

Remember going to the car dealership and getting into a car on the lot? One thing you didn't notice was something your nose knows - that car smelled like you wanted to own it... Ever walk into a Tavern - Bar - Pub early in the day and smell that combination of stale beer and cigarettes? Truck Stop Bathrooms have a odor that most of us - fortunately will never get a chance to remember... A wet dog has an odor that only us Pet lovers love - kinda What we smell anchors feelings in our brain. I remember the smell of the cast on a broken leg of a dog of mine like it was yesterday but it was 30 years ago. I bet you can close your eyes and recall a smell of something you loved or hated without any outside stimulus whatsoever That's what we "tap into" in the Gold Canyon candle business. We are selling smelling... I have a buddy in the Real Estate business. I visited his office recently and noticed it smelled "stale". I asked him if he wanted his client's and prospects coming to his office and smelling 'stale" or if he would prefer for them to smell something like FUCHSIA HERIATGEĀ® SCENTED CANDLE - He got the point and now not only uses our candles in his office but also packages them in gift baskets for all his customers - past and present - once a year I get my hair cut at the same place I have for years. When I walked in a few years ago it struck me that the salon smelled like...a Hair Salon. Honey Oat Tea is what you smell when you walk in now and the customer response - I hear is very positive. In fact they signed up to be Gold Canyon Representatives to sell our candles to their customers These are two simple examples - I have hundreds - of how you can provide your customers with value they can smell and - if you're on our team...
