Book Review: Have You Ever Dreamt Of Beach Money?

Hello everyone and I hope you had a wonderful New Year. Over the Christmas Holiday I had the chance to really catch up on some reading and for the first time I was able to sit down and read cover to cover the best book I have read in a long time. Jordan Adler’s book entitled Beach Money is a must have for everyone in our industry. Hands down, the book goes through twists, turns, spirals and much more to explain the life of a very successful network marketer. Here are a few points that really stuck with me while I was reading this book.
1. The book was written in the utmost genuine tone and feeling because Adler did not want the book edited to fit the needs of everyone.
What this point really means is that the book if from him to you. Period. As soon as you dive into the first page of the book you meet the one and only Jordan Adler. The only thing that was missing for me was the ability to reach out and shake his hand in a formal greeting from the book. This really made me realize how much being genuine really feels. It also taught me while reading that this practice of being genuine and becoming a leader can take your team and business to insurmountable heights. I was actually excited and pumped up to make a phone call to talk to someone from my team and share with them what I had just learned in such a short time.
2. The breakdown of how building your business will actually help you work less.
During this segment of the book, the outline of how to leverage your time is explained exceptionally. The difference between waking up and going straight to your 9-5 job and building a network marketing business is like comparing sour apples to tasty oranges. After reading this section of Jordan’s book I was able to come up with a vision of how hard I have been working or worked my whole life to get a pay check. When I wasn’t working, I didn’t get paid. And let me tell you, that stinks. But, leveraging your time and building a solid MLM organization can pay you dividends to unlimited heights in the long run. This will happen whether you are on vacation or simply enjoying your day. Hence the title, Beach Money.
3. Dream
Plain and simple all you have to do is have a dream. If you walk through life and keep the same path and never follow your dreams, where will you go? Not very far. Like the old saying goes, “If you never change your plan of actions, don’t ever expect different results.” I am a firm believer in this saying and I believe each and every one of us should be looking at ourselves in the mirror and making positive strides to change our financial future. Are you really happy where you are at? Are you really making the money you thought you would with that college degree? If you answer no, then things must change. I know things needed to change in my life because I was sick of being the same. The same as everyone else I talked to. The same person complaining about lack of funds and not being able to live a life I wanted. So, like Jordan outlines in his book, a big component to becoming successful starts with a dream. So let me ask you, what’s your dream?
This book seriously needs to be in everyone’s library and keep it handy. If need be, read it not once or twice but over and over again. Stay plugged in and really take the knowledge and wisdom spread by Jordan that allowed him to attain his Beach Money lifestyle.
