What you're about to read is one of the inner motivations I have as I help people share their stories online. There are people who wonder what benefit there is to helping people share their story online. You are about to get an inside view of our campaign that isn't publicly known to many.
First of all as a Christian I know I have a responsibility to disciple those who love Jesus. Part of that discipleship is helping them develop their personal testimony to share with others. I just happen to think sharing their testimonies online gives more opportunity for the gospel to be shared around the world.
The one thing I love about what I do is I help non Christians tell their stories too. Now some Christians don't like the fact that I do this because non Christians don't talk about Jesus in their stories. My question to them is why would they?
Here's the clincher that thrills me in a big way. As you know I work among business owners online. I don't hide the fact that I'm an Entrepreneurial Pastor who loves Jesus and is in business as well. What thrills me is connecting with people who grasp the power of sharing their personal story.
The power of our story comes from the constant changes in our lives. Do you know how that happens? It's primarily by influential people who we have come to respect. Just as an example, I am influenced by the integrous marketing style of several people and you can probably see it in my posts, blogs and videos all over the internet.
It just amazes me when I see a person who finally takes me up on the offer to share their story. Most of them initially start off rather modest. As times rolls on they tweak it a bit and get it to a point of being settled in their heart the world needs to hear their personal story.
Now here's where I come in. No matter if I'm working with a Christian or non Christian, I know for certain I have an influence with them. My prayer is that the Christians become bolder and bolder sharing their story and eventually reach out to others to help them share their personal testimonies. My prayer for the non Christian is they see the life of Christ I demonstrate in my interaction with them as well as observe the lives of the Christians on our team.
