There is something to maximizing multiple platforms for every online marketers benefit. Today I want to talk about two that work well for me as far as SEO (search engine optimization) is concerned. - IBOToolbox and Scoop.it -
Independent business owners all over the internet have discovered the power of blogs. They know that using keywords and keyword phrase will help their optimization and help them get the exposure and traffic they are looking for.
One of the platforms I'll talk about offers more than just blogs but I will focus on the blog component for the sake of this article. The other platform sort of focuses on blogs. Here's what I mean. This particular platform focuses on curation.
Let me first of all explain curation. It's a word that isn't used much by a great majority of people. To put it simply, curation is the collection of items of one's interest. Just like a museum curator might collect elephant tusks or rare stuffed birds, curation online has it similarities.
When it comes to blogs and curation and SEO, you've got a great combination. Let me share a strategy that gives you a big bang for your buck. BTW, both IBOToolbox and Scoop.it are free.
Strategy:
1. I write a blog on IBOToolbox and get responses from associates who send the blog to other social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin. This of course gets my blog post greater exposure on various social media platforms. On top of this IBOToolbox pushes the blog through their system and gets even greater exposure for my blog.
2. I curate my own blog on my curation page on Scoop.it. There I have literally hundreds of blogs I've curated over time of other bloggers who are looking for exposure. Do keep in mind that the curation I'm doing only shows the title, a brief portion of the content and a link to the actual blogs. Another thing I do is make comments and the "Curator" on the curated blogs on my curation page. After all it's my page.
3. After curating blogs, I have the opportunity to send them to my personal social media platforms. A few clicks can get them to any social media platform I choose. Using a # (hash tag) gives additional exposure of the blogs. Now the key here is that not only do my blogs get people visiting my curation page. Every blog I send anywhere is refers the reader back to my curation page.
4. Some additional things I do is make new contacts with people who like what is on my curation page. Honestly, if I never wrote a blog in my life, I would still continue to get people checking out my curation page just to see the articles I've curated.
There are some tremendous benefits to integrating IBOtoolbox Blogs and curating blogs on Scoop.it.
To get an idea of what I'm talking about, you can see this blog on my curation page. Remember people who normally see it only see the title, a brief portion of the blog and the link to this blog. See for yourself. bit.ly/NztSyY
