In an age of, "it's all about me," it's high time to start promoting yourself online. If you haven't started branding yourself, you might want to start right away. Tell me what is better, to brand your company website with thousands of others or brand yourself? Of course branding you seems a bit self centered to many but the reality is branding ourselves online is how we distinguish ourselves from our competitors outside our companies and inside our companies.
Promotion on the internet is like companies who advertise the same campaigns over and over again until we get tired of seeing them. They don't consult us when they decide to quit advertising. They keep their campaigns going until they make a difference in their bottom line.
What will it take for you to take the next step and start branding yourself? Okay, some of you are already branding yourself but have you quit on yourself somewhere along the way? If you have, it's time to get back in the game. It's time to step up your marketing efforts and start letting people know who you are.
Just today I was talking to a young man in college who seems to think he has to be a certain age before he will have something others will take interest in. I helped him do a little soul searching and he discovered he has a story just like everybody else. He's now on the road to branding himself.
I'm just communicating this information to you today to motivate you to be bolder than you've ever been. Get your story online and say it and say it again over and over until you get tired of hearing it and say it some more. Do more than you've allowed yourself to do in the past. Step your game up, boost your confidence and get to it.
You see the key to the kind of business most of us are in requires that we learn, do and teach. If we are honestly learning how to brand ourselves, we have to do it and if we are doing it, we have to eventually teach it. If you need more knowledge or tools, that's not a problem.
