As a business owner, I look at each day as the opportunity to give my best to others. It may be my clients, it may be my team members or it may be leaders within my company. I think that having my own business has made me more focused on giving my very best because it is what is going to set me apart from others in my industry.
Each of us has a choice to make each day. We are the ones that control our own future. Too many people find it easier to place blame on someone or something else for their lack of success. Are you really being honest with yourself when you say that you didn’t know this or someone didn’t tell you that? If you’re in business it’s your responsibility to know everything about your business and how to run it. Look at the internet as your own personal library of knowledge – all you have to do is take the time to do your research. Don’t expect everything to be easy, because it’s not. You have to take the time to figure out what works and what doesn’t.
In business you will most likely make a few mistakes. It’s o.k. to make a mistake, but if you don’t take the time to learn from your mistake, then it was a lesson lost. Be open to listening to others and be coachable. Internalize what you hear and read from those that are successful and emulate their actions. If you aren’t finding success in your business, you may need to be open to changing the manner in which you are doing business. Don’t give up, just look at it as going down a different path to get to the same destination.
I was taught as a small child that what I did each day would someday come back into my own life. I know that as a parent I want my children to see me giving my best in everything that I do so that they learn to do the same thing in their own lives. As an Affiliate Business Owner with Xpress Healthcare, I have chosen to lead by example. My team members know that I am dedicated to their success and I’m always here to answer questions and offer assistance. I want to help others within our organization grow their business, as well. The time that I take to help others succeed helps me to grow as a business owner, as a team leader and as a person.
If you start each day with the mindset to give our best to our clients, to our team members and to others we come in contact with we’ll see how it becomes easier each day for that mindset to be the norm.
