Remember that feeling you got in the pit of your stomach when the teacher asked the class a question and you didn’t know the answer? You kept hoping that you wouldn’t get called on. Murphy’s Law kicked in and of course you were the one called on to answer the question. You either guessed at the answer or said you didn’t know. Either way, you didn’t like not knowing the answer. Life is a series of questions – and not every time will you know the answer. That’s perfectly fine because you now have the opportunity to learn something.
When you made the decision to look into a home business opportunity, chances are you did a lot of research. That was because you didn’t know everything and wanted to make an informed decision. You asked questions, looked at websites and probably talked to people that were currently involved in the business and perhaps some that were no longer in the business. You were learning.
You’ve now made your decision as to which business to join and are on your way. You want to get out there and advertise, start building your team and selling your products. But you’re stuck. You need to figure out the back office program, how to do banner advertising and in the back of your mind you know that you need to write blogs but you can’t think of any topics. Don’t look at these as stumbling blocks, but rather as opportunities to learn.
As a team leader I always tell my team members that I should be their first call whenever they have a question about anything. I want them to know that they don’t have to sit in front of their computer and feel frustrated. That’s wasted energy. Too many people fail in their home business opportunity because they don’t know what they need to do to succeed. Look to those in your Company and in your industry that are succeeding and emulate their actions. I enjoy guiding not only members of my own team, but fellow Affiliate Business Owners within my Company. As they learn more, they’re able to teach others what I, along with others, have taught them and the cycle continues. None of us will ever be done learning and each day presents us with opportunities to help others learn as well.
Don’t get caught up in what you don’t know and focus on what you do know and build upon that knowledge. Expand your marketing plan, try a new advertising technique or attend a team training call/webinar today. Do something else to expand your knowledge base tomorrow and again the next day. Before long, you’ll be building your own team and you’ll be the teacher. Take the time to teach your team members what they need to know to succeed because the more they know the more successful they’ll be. Every day is an opportunity to learn, so don’t waste that opportunity!
