I think back to when I was a little girl and my grandfather telling me that he was in business to make money, pure and simple. Those words still ring true today, but as a business owner myself I know that I am in business for many more reasons than simply to make money.
I’m in business to be a better Mom. I made a choice to pursue a home based business because it would afford me the most flexibility to take care of my three children. It was my choice to become a parent and I knew that I wanted to be active in their lives and give them the childhood that I had, so that they would have a firm foundation as they grew up. By my children seeing my dedication, focus and hard work, I am able to teach them real-time lessons that will carry them into adulthood. They see firsthand what I do versus me telling them about my work when I get home at the end of the day.
I’m in business to help my team members and other people within my Company be successful. It’s an amazing thing to help others succeed. I love conducting training sessions. People learn by asking questions and I want them to come to me rather than struggling with it themselves. I want people to know everything that I know and then some! I find that when I’m teaching that I’m learning at the same time, which is beneficial to everyone involved.
