How Make-A-Wish Is Making Wishes Come True For Kids

For additional information  Click Here

Make a wish foundation started in 1980, when a little boy named Chris Greicius who was being treated for leukemia, but had always dreamed of becoming a police officer.

His mother knew a U.S Customs officer who promised to take Chris on a ride in a police helicopter.

Chris’s illness became worse and with the help of the Department of Public Safety, DPS they planned a day that Chris would never forget.

Chris got a helicopter tour of the City and was taken to the DPS headquarters where he was sworn in as the first honorary DPS patrol man in the history of the state.

Chris even got his full police uniform complete with motorcycle wings and a “Smokey Bear” type hat.

Sadly, shortly after this Chris died.

But nothing could replace the big smile that light up his face when he received his motorcycle wings.

He died having fulfilled his dream of becoming a police officer.

That is the how the Make-A-Wish Foundation got started.

They grant wishes to kids between the ages of 2 and a half to 18 years, who have life threatening illnesses to enrich the human spirit with hope strength and joy.

There are many ways to get involved, besides donating money. You can donate your time, your skills and influence, or even your unwanted airmiles.

Everyone can make a difference.

If you know of any kid between the ages of 2 and a half to 18 years old, that is suffering from a life threatening illness and could use a HUGE boost in spirit by making their dream come true.

PLEASE , PLEASE contact Make-A-Wish and let them help that kid.

It costs you NOTHING, but could mean the WORLD to the kid.

Find out more by going to their site, and check out your local chapter.

P.S. I wanted to see if you folks actually read the P.S's.... LOL.

P.P.S. Okay good, you do read them. I have nothing to sell today. I'm just sharing a charity that I believe does wonderful things for children.
