Personal Branding 101 - A Beginners Guide

Why is branding so important when it come to marketing?


Because when done effectively it’s what set you apart and gives you a MAJOR competitive advantage in your marketplace.


Everybody needs a unique combination of message, name, reputation and look that positions them as a brand.


It’s no good being like the rest of the crowd.



Let me share with you 3 keys was to have a solid personal brand online and how to develop them.


1. An Engaging Internet Presence.


First impressions Do count, so always make sure that yours really counts as you may never get a second chance to make that first impression.


This is usually your first point of contact, such as your website, video, landing page, email or other digital copy.


Is in engaging, is it clean and easy to navigate, does it look well put together - or is it messy?


2 A Strong And Clear Message.


Clear messaging is the key starting point to building your personal brand.


Having an elevator pitch is good, however it’s not the whole story.


Here are three things you should consider:


i What do you offer that sets you apart from your competition?


ii How do you position what you offer that sets you apart from your completion?


iii What unique points of view, positioning or language do you use that sets you apart from your competition?


A clear understanding and implementation of those 3 things, will have a profound effect on your business, as you differentiate yourself from your competition and become the logical choice that most people want to partner or do business with.



3. Strategy Of Pre-eminence.


Jay Abraham defines the strategy of pre-eminence as this; “It’s focus is on the receiver and their best interests. It boils down to I’m not trying to sell you - I just want to serve you.”


Here are a few good questions to ask in regard to this:


Apart from what I do for my business partners, what else can I do to further assist them in attaining their true desires in order to further enrich their lives?


What do you people say about how you’ve helped them solve a nagging and persistent problem or pain, or enjoy a new pleasure?


What language do they use to describe how they feel about it?


This message must be communicated clearly in all of your marketing materials.
