How To Use Your Customer Testimonials To Attract New Customers

Did you know that customer testimonials and case studies  can account for as much as 50% of all buying decisions?

But sadly more than 50% of businesses are not using them.


Let me share with you a story on how one Nutrition Coach used testimonials to attract instant new customers.


BNI (Business Network International) is professional networking group that meets every week.


Their members support each other by exchanging tips, what’s working and business cards as well as do a 10 minute presentation for their businesses for other members.


At one particular meeting the first person got up and rambled on about their business for 10 minutes.


It was awful and most people were left more confused and didn’t know what the business was even about.


The next person to present did something completely different.


She was a nutrition coach and when it was her turn to do a presentation for her business she flipped the switch.


She started by bring up 4 carefully selected clients who purposely explained why hiring the nutrition coach was the best investments they had ever made.


Here’s what they said.


The first lady told how she had lost so much weight from the food that was now carefully prepared for her.


The next man told of how his cholesterol and blood pressure had dropped as a result of his new diet.


The next couple told of how they no longer ate junk or fast food and how healthy their family was now eating.


Finally a lady told of how her son who was going to college had learned how to cook healthy meals which were quick and inexpensive.


The result of all this was that at the end of the meeting the Nutrition coach was swarmed by people eager to hire her on the spot.


The moral of this story is that using customer testimonials works period.


And if you’re not using them, then you should start doing so immediately.


They work well for any business offering as most people like to read, listen to or see testimonials or case studies before the buy something.


You can place them on your website, and in all your marketing communication as nothing beats social proof.


So don’t be one of those businesses that is missing out on attracting new customers by NOT using your existing customer testimonials.
