What You Must Do Before Sending People To Your Squeeze Page.

So we’ve all been told that the money is in the list and that we must be building a list.


So apart from the good old autoresponder, we need something else.


Enter the squeeze page.(Also know as capture page or landing page)


For that’s how we’re supposed to capture names and email addresses to build a list in the first place, right?


Well, em sort of.


Let me explain.


If all you’re doing is just sending people to a squeeze page, before even building any rapport, connecting with them and establishing any value - then you’re doing it all wrong.


And it will cost you. Big!


Yes you may build a big list, but will you be collecting real email addresses or fake ones?


Then you wonder why your email marketing campaign isn’t working, or no one seems to be opening your emails - despite having a lot of “subscribers”


Your email autoresponder company will still charge you per subscriber, (Real or Fake) regardless and why would you want to send emails to non existent or fake email addresses?


I’d rather have a list of 100 genuine people who open and read my emails and who I’ve built rapport with, than 1,000 people who don’t even open my emails. (Naturally because they are fake emails)


That’s exactly what happens when you don’t warm people up before sending them to a squeeze page.


There is a BIG disconnect with a piece of content that they read/watch and the squeeze page that is linked to.


This is where most people get it WRONG.


So here’s what you should do instead.


Create, engaging, helpful and value based content that speaks to some problem, pain or intended pleasure that your prospect has.


You need to be entering the conversation that is already taking place in their head.


Once you do that they will be more receptive and willing to give you their email address because you’ve demonstrated that you understand their problems, pains or intended pleasures.


Furthermore you need to give clear instructions as to what people need to do and what they should expect going forward.


After delivering your piece of engaging and helpful content as I mentioned above you can transition like this,
