How To Plan An Effective Social Media Strategy

So how do you plan an effective social media marketing strategy?

First of all you have to really get to know what your business is all about, before you can even begin to share or market it to other people.

I have six honest servants; they’ve taught me all I know. Their names are what, why, and who, and when and where and how. ~ Robert Louis Stevenson.

There are basically a set of 9 questions that you should answer so that you can develop a clear and purposeful marketing message. Naturally this works for your social media strategy too.

Sam Horn in her book titled, “Pop ! Create The Perfect Pitch, Title And Tagline For Anything” refers to them as the 9 W’s.

Here they are.

W.1 What am I offering?

W.2 What problem does my idea or offering solve?

W3. Why is it worth trying and buying?

W4. Who is my target audience?

W5. Who am I and what are my credentials?

W6. Who are my competition and how am I different from them?

W7. What resistance  or objections will people have to this?

W8. What is the purpose of my pitch?

W9. When, where and how do I want people to take action?

Once you’ve answered these questions thoroughly so that you can even answer them in your sleep then you’re ready, and can unleash your social media strategy plan.

You can use what I like to call the 3 C’s

1. Clarity. Which you’ve gotten by answering the 9 W’s above.

2. Create. Here you will be creating content on a daily basis. You can either create your own content, or you can curate relevant content. I suggest a combination of both, and

3. Consistency. You must do this everyday or at least 5 days a week so that people know that you are serious.

There are several tools that will enable you schedule and post your content on the Social media sites and before long you’ll have gained a lot of followers and traction and will be on a roll.

If you’ve liked this press release and would like help developing a plan for your social media strategy, or even implementing one then we can come up with one for you on my FREE coaching call.

Remember that you miss 100% of the shots that you don't take, according to Wayne Gretzky.

Each person holds so much power within themselves that needs to be let out. Sometimes they just need a little nudge, a little direction, a little support, a little coaching, and the greatest things can happen. ~ Pete Carroll.
