National Teacher's Appreciation Day

Published on 5/8/2018

In honor of National Teacher's Appreciation Day, I would like to thank the following family members: my

father, my sisters and my brother. They were all teachers who taught me everything I know. Not only were

they leaders, but also avid readers. ;)

First of  all, my dad loved to MC at weddings and other functions. At the annual church fashion and talent show,

he would always recite a narrative. What an amazing memory he had.

Secondly, my sister Althea was a  school principal and  superintendent. She worked hard to maintain her

home and family. Her two kids graduated from college with degrees in economics. What a blessing!

Thirdly, my sister Joy was an associate professor at a medical school. Fortunately,as a doctor, she had a day

job, rather than a thirty six hour rotation. She is a true book worm. That is what she does.

As for my brother, once upon a time he taught elementary school mathematics, in spanish. That is quite a

challenge. When I was younger, he was my tutor, at homework time. His children love school too. :)

Next is my sister Noelle. She also taught for a while at a community college. When she was not doing that

she was working on her Master's or writing proposals. She loved to write as much as she read.

Finally, I appreciate having been surrounded by such readers and writers. When they were not studying,

they were fixing cars, playing tennis, doing real estate, or running track. My God is an Awesome God!
