Upstairs, Downstairs - I Don't Want Any Stairs
So, here it is the Holiday for us here in the USA.
4th of July is a great day that we all can celebrate, not only for our Independence, but also, for those who put down their lives to defend this great country.
My son came over for awhile today to share in some family food and he brought his two dogs over. He was also going over the issues of living in a downstairs apartment.
I remember those times deciding what would be best to either live in an upstairs apartment or a downstairs.
In my mind, there are good and bad to both.
In an upstairs apartment, you have the pains of carrying furniture and groceries up and down the stairs. However, you do not have to worry about others banging, stomping or anything else to that effect above you.
Unless of course, there are more than just two stories.
Lot's of places say that they have good insulation and you won't hear that much, but from my experience, that has never been the case, I can always hear the upstairs stomping.
Of course, with having a bad back these days, I couldn't live in an upstairs apartment, even if I wanted to. There is no way I could walk up and down the stairs.
So as this blog isn't really that great on having a story or a message, it is something that was running through my head for now.
Hey, we can blog about just about anything, right? The whole idea is to stay in touch with each other and let others get to know us.
So, to everyone, hope that your 4th of July Holiday was a safe one, and I guess it will be back to the grind tomorrow.

 | | I have had issues when I lived downstairs everything from upstairs always bought water down into my apartment. So living downstairs does have its issues but climbing a lot of stairs is an issue as well when you have a lot of things to carry. Thanks! |
| | | | | Nice Blog ! Thanks for sharing, I too have a bad back , I could not live in an upstairs apartment. Happy 4th, off to share |
| | | | | I lived upstairs and every apartment building I lived in and the bad thing about that was my son threw stuff out the window. The downstairs would bring it back after it whizzed by their window. But I lived downstairs at one place and hated the noise upstairs. I liked to be the noise from upstairs. But the steps are a pain. |
