How many of you have been to a “Three Ring Circus”? I have been a few times, and if I remember correctly, there are so many things going on at once. Yeah, I guess you will normally have one “main” attraction in the center stage, but think about what else is going on around that “main” attraction.
I remember trying to watch, let’s say, the high wire act, trying to see if or when they were going to lose their hold, not to mention just how spectacular it looked to be hanging up so high and performing in front of hundreds.
But then, I also tried to keep my eye on the clown that was walking around, because he would always do something funny, and of course I don’t want to miss anything.
Oh, and let’s don’t forget the lions that are getting staged and ready to come on. Sometimes, depending on the “personality” of a particular lion, I always wondered if one of those lions, when they would get poked by that stick, when they would decide that they had enough and would reach their paw out and take a big old swipe at their handler.
And don’t forget trying to watch the looks on your children’s faces as they watched all those spectacular and amazing acts that were performing in front of the eager to see eyeballs.
Well, does this all seem to resemble your life at times? Do you feel you have your own “three ring circus” under your own tent at home? I don’t know about you, but I sure do. There are times when I don’t know which way to turn and when I do turn around, goodness knows what I am going to miss from whatever else is going on.
I used to pull the 9-5 job, which in my case it was actually 7-3. Had to make sure I could get kids off to school, of course pick them up and take them to whatever activity they were in, go home prepare supper, clean up, prepare everyone for bed, blah, blah, blah. Oh, and somewhere in there I had to make time for outside errands, you know, bill paying, doctors appointments, etc. Notice I have not mentioned time for “me time”. That’s because there never was any.
Now, on a personal note, I currently am not working outside the home. Expect of course, now I am trying to get my online businesses up and running. I still must run the kids around, run those errands, make those appointments, cook, and clean, laundry, on and on and on.
Does this mimic your life at all? Well, the difference between when I worked outside the home and now, there is a ton of difference. The reason being is I can now set my OWN time that I work. If I need to take a break and go pick up a sick child, then I can. I don’t have to worry about clearing it with the boss. Making up for those lost hours or I don’t get paid. I AM IN CONTROL!
By having an online business, you would also be able to control your life, your time, your stress level. If you need to pull some extra hours, you can, if you want. If you need to take off for awhile, you can. YOU are the boss!
No matter what business you decide to work online, the idea is that you get to choose your own time to work it. The more time you put in probably the better, but it will be up to YOU.
As always, my best to you and and all that you do.
