Cost of Business| Part 1

I want to start a business from home. Why should I have to pay? If you are asking this question this mini series is for you. Today  I want to talk to you about Costs associated with being in business. This is part 1 in the series. People always ask why they should have to invest money into something, why should I have to pay to join a company, why should I have to pay to start my own business, or why should I have to invest money to work from home.

Cost of Business

Cost associated with Business

In this series I want to try and cover everything from every angle. It’s a true fact that people often ask uneducated and naive questions like why should I have to pay to start a business. They wonder why they should have to pay in order to qualify to earn commissions. Some things should be free, but a line has to be drawn somewhere. Before we get into this series let’s define the definition of business.  A business, also known as an enterprise, company, or firm is an organizational entity involved in the provisions of goods and services to consumers. There are operational costs to produce and distribute those goods. It’s not free because it costs them to get it to the consumers. It doesn’t matter the business type either on or offline. Let’s take farming for example. Farmers use farm equipment to harvest different fruits, vegetables, wheat, and the things that you buy in the grocery store. They have to be able to use the equipment in order to produce the food that you buy. The reason why food is not free is because there are so many different moving parts to be able to bring the food to the grocery stores.

Then there is marketing and advertising costs that have to be factored in, so if everything was free then we wouldn’t have an economy. Before there was currency there was trade. People had different skill sets and there were different professions. In the old days you had people that produced lumber and other people that produced a different resource like steel, so they would create an economy by trading back and forth. To make their business work they had to exchange for money or trade it for something of equal value. You have to understand these concepts when you come into business. If you are a true business owner of something that is building an income there are operational costs with it if you want to do it efficiently or effectively. Think about this and I will continue with part 2 in this series in the next video. Leave your thoughts below in the comments.
