3 Alternatives to Adsense for Beginner Internet Marketers

Many bloggers talk about their Google Adsense success and earnings, and that Adsense is the best advertising network. The number of views to earn a decent income with Adsense is huge. To earn a decent income with any advertising network you need at least 50,000 visitors per month. But most bloggers starting out don't get anywhere near that.

You have to be honest with yourself, what does your blog really need when starting out? I would say many new bloggers would like the money but what their blog really needs is, is a bigger readership and more exposure. In this article I have reviewed one advertising network that pays for displaying ads, and two other advertising networks that focus on the blogger earning credits for more exposure for their blog, while at the same time advertising their own offers. As stated before most advertising networks won't even consider your application if your blog doesn't get at least 50,000 views per month. This is because neither of you will get the revenue required.

The 3 advertising networks I have focused on in this article all accept any blog regardless of visitor numbers, but do have rules on the type of content accepted.

BidVertiser

BidVertiser is a unique advertising network in that advertisers bid against each other to secure their advertising on your website. You get paid when they click on the ad and an additional payment when a conversion takes place. Payouts commence when you hit $10. You don't have to be a major player and receive 50,000 views a month which means this advertising network is suitable for small businesses. As your website grows with visitors the higher the bids will grow to compete for advertising space.

As with many top advertising networks you can customise advertisements to the look and feel of your website. Analytics are available for the focused webmaster to guage whether the network is converting for them or not.

The ad formats covered fit most spaces on the majority of websites, in much the same way that adsense does.

BidVertiser does not accept hacking websites, porn or profanity websites. Surprisingly they do not accept websites that use pay to surf websites, or websites with an excessive amount of advertising. Whether this include traffic exchanges will have to be decided after applying.

Traffic Adbar

Traffic Adbar is essentially a traffic exchange that when you display the widget on your blog you gain credits. When you advertise your blog or offer through their website you are issued with a Traffic Adbar website link, and when you advertise that link on other websites Traffic Adbar issues you a credit. This is by using this link, a Traffic Adbar advertisement/widget appears when this link is used.

As well as widgets, Traffic Adbar has an affiliate program that if people you refer make a purchase you earn a commission in the form of hit credits, depending on what membership level you hold.

LeadsLeap

LeadsLeap is similar to Traffic Adbar in that wherever you display their ad widget you receive ad credits to be used to advertise your business. LeadsLeap is not strictly a traffic exchange but in effect it is. Placing these widgets on your website will spread the word about your blog, and advertise that your blog is worthy of visiting.

LeadsLeap has 2 types of membership. Free and Pro. The free membership that doesn't have as many benefits as the Pro membership, but does have many features that are difficult to find on other free advertising services. With the free membership you can advertise on LeadsLeap and make use of their advertising widget (that you display on your blog) to earn ad credits. But you are limited to the credits you earn by viewing other members ads. There is the option to gain subscribers and build a downline, and it's impressive what you can do with this.

The Pro membership removes the hassle of clicking for credits and if you do want to click ads you can earn money, as well as puting the widget on your blog. Included in the package is the option to display 10 Credit Ads and 10 Pro Ads, with more exposure, meaning that your ads appear in more places. Commissions from subscribers are increased from 25%(free membership) to 50%. As a free member, if I have been clicking ads for the last hour, all my credits have run out and I have nothing to show for it. A majority of internet marketers state that to get a buyer, the prospect has to view your ad at least 7 seven times before they will buy. And that is the number one reason you need a Pro membership to get as much exposure for your ad as possible, to get more buyers.
