How to STOP Negative Self-talk

Insecurities are what result in negative self-talk that cause distress and more insecurities. Insecurities stem from past experiences and childhood edicts that are intended to keep a child in line and/or safe. Furthermore, the fact that humans are vulnerable and that there’s much we don’t know about who we are and why we’re here prompts our insecurities to persist. These uncertainties alone create unconscious insecurities.

Reversing the negative self-talk is helpful. The flaw in this technique is that it is on the conscious level only.  The negative self-talk has been drilled into the unconscious mind, thus it plays over and over in our mind and we are unaware it is operating.

Negative unconscious thoughts change our perception of reality and the feeling is terrible, but we don't consciously know what is driving the terrible feeling. Specifically, when you tell yourself things that aren’t true, or when you obsess over things that aren’t going the way you want them to, you are creating a mountain out of a molehill.

You have the power to create your own torment, but you also have the option of choosing peace. Choose peace.

When you hear yourself lamenting or obsessing  about anything stop yourself and replace it with the opposite or a statement of encouragement. Then, allow your intuitive self to deliver the answer to your lament or obsession.
