Well Roger all business is about "timing" and "demand" mainly, and Talkfusion is great for people who are just online or in some bodunk town and don't have much of a warm market, but 99.9% of the people who are walking around you and me every day will not see mine or your marketing message and about 40% are hardly online if at all.
For example; I live in Los Angeles where we are usually way ahead of the trends or the trend setter when it comes to new, and better, and all that good stuff, and I talk with people offline all the time to get leads and prospects for my Snackhealthy business and what I have found is: I speak with ten people for example, and about 80% use the Internet, however not on a computer, but on their smartphone or Iphone.
In other words, services that don't render well on the cell phone or smartphone are not surfed, or used at all, so where does that leave a service like TalkFusion? I don't know, but I see the trend, and it's not video email from what I can see and Social Media sites like Skype, and more than I want to list here are just going to overrun services the little guy is offering, MLM or not.
That's the problem with online only businesses is that most don't do any offline marketing, so the result is, they have a much greater chance of failing (I would say around 95% or more) and if it's this industry (MLM) where conversions are tougher than ever online because of the bloat of competition, and lack of attention span, the attrition rate has got to be pretty high over time because most are going to fail.
For one, they are not marketers per say even though they may think they are now that they have a magic tool, or blog (they think) to market whatever they are marketing, but most don't know how to make sale consistently with or without high end tools no matter how simple you make it for them regardless of the product or service "price point".
So in essence, all the marketing tools in the world are not going to help a person if they don't know how to make sales, and the stats back me up heavily on this so it's true. Unfortunately, many think Social media is going to save them from having to actually work hard to get sales, and it's not, because again they don't have the business, marketing, and people skills at a level where they will build a successful business and most never bother to get them.
Plus "Branding yourself" isn't the holy grail many think it is, because I see people that are trying to "brand" themselves and teach people what they know when it comes to the new buzz "attraction marketing" when they haven't really done much in business themselves. In other words, nothing new under the Sun (e.g. attraction marketing happened over two thousand years ago when Jesus walked the earth remember?).
THE SAME OLD SONG AND DANCE REMAINS THE SAME
Prove me wrong if you can, but show me the big turn around just because there are a gazzillion marketing tools, training and everything else to make things much easier to build your business online now? The stats over the decades haven't changed much if at all. Go figure, because most people are not business trained, or marketing, and sales trained. They are trained to go to a job every day and leave the sales and marketing to the professionals. Either that, they have someone else paying the bills while they attempt to look like the person someone wants to follow online but many are kidding themselves aren't they? Right.
WHY BRANDING AND ATTRACTION MARKETING ARE MOSTLY NOT NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN YOUR MLM/NETWORK MARKETING BUSINESS
Then again, you don't have to be a professional marketer or even use a computer to market online at all with many Network Marketing Opportunities, even though it may help. Take healthy snacks for example, because snacks are simple and what's there to explain? Not much, and 100% of people, and even kids, can relate to food and food snacks, and if they are smart, to healthy and tasty food snacks.
Plus new business builders edify their upline and get people on the calls, webinars and share the product and follow up with the prospect and see what they liked about the product, business, and again edify upline helping them to bring in and enroll new Distributors and Independent Reps. Where did "Branding" coming into the equation in this senerio?
Some "attraction marketing" yes, because the new prospect is attracted to the healthy snacks and the opportunity to use them in their next fundraiser for their school or church and make it a win/win situation for everybody made it attractive to them. Where did you and your "branding" and wanting people to attract to you come in?
Well, they may like you, and gave you a listen (that's about it) and they liked what they heard and had seen and could see the potential to not only help themselves, but others with a much needed healthy food products, and help kids as well as adults slim down and get the unhealthy fat off them over time. Michelle Obama talked about this very subject, so if that isn't a big enough hint for you what is.
TIMING IS EVERYTHING IN BUSINESS
Anyway, I believe it's better to be with a fast growing company with huge momentum (like any sport, or business - momentum is key) you can take with you anywhere, whether it be online or offline and still make money with it. The power in Network Marketing is the Networking and Marketing part and most are terrible at one or the other and far too many are terrible at both, and hiding behind a website and tools doesn't bring a prospect closer to enrolling with your team. Eventually you have to talk with them by phone, and if close enough, meet with them. Simple business networking skills most leave out of the equation and wonder why they are not successful.
In other words, you can't just post on Social Media sites and direct people to a website and expect to make a ton of sales. If that were true, everybody doing it would be successful by now right? Right. Unless of course you are a big name with a fairly big monthly marketing budget and PLF (product launch formula) well speced out in advance.
Then you show everybody how easy it was, and never mention your "NET" profits or how much you spent initially time and money wise to make what you are making and what you are spending monthly to look like you are just raking in the bucks, and it's simple right? Let's see Mr. Big Wig, you make 60K a month now? How much is that actually net profit after all your monthly maintenance costs, including marketing? 2K net net you say? Hum...not bad. I sure you can see where I'm going with this so no need to elaborate on it further.
SNACK HEALTHY AND SHARE GREAT TASTING AND HEALTHY SNACKS WITH OTHERS
So in conclusion, I choose my current business because of the painfully obvious facts staring at all of us here in the USA when it comes to obesity, and the friction is low to join, because Snacks are so simple even kids can relate to them and they eat a lot, and that is where the trend is, better and healthier eating in the kids schools, at home and for all Americans for that matter. Who needs another gazillionth supplement or sweaty challenge program to sell the supplements? Not me, even though I take some, but I'm not going to go chasing every new supplement that comes out because there are just too many.
Plus I know how most people here in Los Angeles are, and not many are going to do a challenge program, and that's because people nowadays have a hard enough time keeping up with work, the kids, family and all that, and here in CA where I'm at, most drive a block just to get a gallon of milk, and don't get off their behind much, let alone want to go do some challenge routine with some supplement to buy to boot.
I believe the challenge routine is just a cover and their marketing strategy for having to deal with the pain of having to share yet another supplement that most people don't want, plus it's not for the masses because stats show most people really don't want the supplement or extra challenge, and it's just avoiding the real issue. Eat right, snack right, get 10 to 20 minutes of real exercise in daily, and that's really all one needs.
And as the saying goes, "one day, a piece of bread will buy gold", and that's the truth, everybody has to have food, water and shelter. Everything else is added unto them so to speak, i.e. wants.
P.S. And I could never figure out how to eat a website, an opportunity, a coin or even a lottery ticket, even though I don't buy them much.
P.S.S. Roger, if you are building "TalkFusion", here's a quick suggestion; get a real pic of you on the forum and everywhere else you are marketing "TalkFusion", because what credibility do you have marketing video/teleconferencing services when you don't even show your own face? Again, common sense, but that's just my take on it anyway, then again, I could be wrong.
