3 DAY/2-NIGHT GORILLAS IN PARC NATIONAL DES VOLCANS, RWANDA
The spectacular African landscapes and wildlife of Rwanda offer a diverse range of safari activities. Tracking the mountain gorilla through the misty forests of Virungas, spotting game on the vast savannah plains that lie in the western arm of the Great East African Rift Valley, the Serengeti National Park, Amboselli National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area or Zanzibar in Tanzania or Masai Mara,Sambaru national Park or a beach retreat in Mombasa Kenya.
ITINERARY
Day 1 - KIGALI
Meet our Holiday to Africa Local Representative and Tour Guide on arrival at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Kigali.

Day 2 - PARC NATIONAL DES VOLCANS
Departing from the Lemigo Hotel You will be briefed on your safari and your expert guide will provide knowledge and assistance throughout your safari. Your journey takes you through the beautiful terraced hills that characterize much of Rwanda's landscape. Climbing gradually to the base of the spectacular volcanoes of the Virunga range, the five nearest peaks rising high above the verdant countryside, .O/N: Gorilla Volcanoes Hotel Lodge (B, L, D)
Day 3 - PARC NATIONAL DES VOLCANS / KIGALI / NAIROBI
Wake up early and enjoy a hot breakfast whilst the sun rises over Lake Bulera before venturing off to track the gorillas.
Tracking the gorillas on the slopes of the Virungas is a magical experience. Please note that you cannot use flash photography, so a fast film is a must! You can hire porters to carry your equipment up the mountain this is a large percentage of their income so we encourage guests to hire them for the day.
If you are lucky you can get to the gorillas, spend an hour with them, and be back in time for a late lunch! Some gorilla families however are more elusive, and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy. However, falling under the gaze of a great silverback makes any trek seem worth it. Please see our video on this timeline beneath.
After Lunch your safari ends with your journey to Kigali. Before transferring to the airport, there may be time to tour the city and visit the genocide memorial, a moving testimony to this country’s past that it has courageously overcome.
