Easy, Free Graphic Design

Now anyone can design attractive and professional images for posters, presentations, email marketing campaigns, and even infographics or cover images for social media. It doesn’t stop there, because you can also create ebook covers, invitations, postcards, and collages.

Thanks to Canva, it doesn’t have to cost a fortune to create banners, presentations, letterhead, menu, or even flyers. Your design is limited only by your imagination, with the ability to upload images or search and use stock images, backgrounds, and layouts for free. Canva does offer some layouts, backgrounds and images that must be purchased, but even these cost a whopping $1.

Free images come with a one-time use license, but purchased images, backgrounds and layouts can be reused as often as you like, and your design can be edited as often as you need for a limited period of time. Canva also offers photo editing, image effects, and stickers, for those who just can’t get enough smiley faces and emoticons.

If that’s not enough to get your attention, Canva has both web and iPad capability, and you can even place a Canva button on your website or blog so that your readers can create and publish images or social media posts. That opens up a whole host of opportunities for content generation, image design contests, and encourages the sharing of your content while increasing the amount of time readers spend on your site.

So, far, we’ve played around with Facebook, LinkedIn, and GooglePlus cover images, and that’s a real challenge, because there is no one set of universal dimensions for social media use. Canva makes it easy, though, because in addition to templates for Facebook covers and Facebook apps, there’s also the option to design with custom dimensions. With Canva, there’s no more getting frustrated over odd dimensions or spending hours looking through stock images but never finding exactly what you’re looking for. Just create it!

We’ve also created banners for our current banner ad campaign, infographics for future blog posts, an ebook cover, and images for social media posts and pins for our mystery shopping board, like the examples below.

What will your canvas look like?
