The older I got, the more I realized how truly unhappy and lacking in fulfillment all of these seemingly successful people really were. Their "happiness" was really all b.s. I'm a Marine Corps vet, proud father of 2 beautiful little girls, strength and conditioning coach/fitness trainer (aka gym rat), and an entrepreneur who's obsessed with personal growth.

My goal here is to hopefully be a vehicle for discussion involving the many factors necessary for success that are NOT commonly discussed amongst small/independent business owners. The psychological factors involved with maintaining your mental and emotional health, mindfulness, keys to keeping your stress and stray thoughts at bay were all lessons I had to learn from the drivers seat of my car. Aka my office chair. Aka my kitchen chair. And bed. And closet.

I was actually homeless, and frightenly enough not too long ago. I moved back to St. Louis from Chicago to be with my little girls after working my life away to get caught up. I quit my 120k/yr job for the promise of a company that failed to follow through. Fast forward a few months, and my unwillingness to leave my girls again for my old job in Chicago (paired with obvious problems with my emotional state)  landed myself homeless. Throughout this past winter living in my car next to the gym I trained out of, my mind went to some dark places. 2 THINGS SAVED MY LIFE. Meditation, and network marketing.

I took a FANTASTIC class offered through the VA hospital called Mindfullness that taught me how to stay with the present moment, and shortly after redirecting my focus and thought process to the attraction of GOOD things, I was introduced to a particular network marketing opportunity that would soon further fortify the positive changes I would be making to pull myself out of that rut. My insatiable passion for fitness bled into my newly found passion and NEED for finding my financial freedom, and the support and leadership offered from my team with Ambit Energy was everything i needed to keep it fuelled.

I know there's no generic solution to any problems you may have, but I can HELP you apply what kept me alive and nursed me back to emotional and financial health. Whether you are wealthy or broke, your emotional health will dictate your future. Take ownership of your life back.

LEAVE A COMMENT telling me what personal activities (such as meditation for myself) has led to improvements in your way of life. Always open to new ideas!
