The human race killed well over 100 million members of its own kind in the twentieth century alone and this catastrophic number will continue to rise due to the egoist mind, a mind that is so obsessed with greed, fear and despair that this ‘routine’ will continue into the next millennium unless we learn how to live in the Now.
The human race dominates the planet and all that dwells upon it. Look deeply into the condition of our earth and see the fear in the eyes of your neighbour. Note the despair in the eyes of the man whose business has just gone under. Look at the greed in the eyes of the robber who senses himself as indestructible. See the heinous cruelty and suffering inflicted upon other life forms that inhabit this planet including trees and forests.
Don’t condemn. Just see it all as a condition of a mind that does not dwell in the Now. The minds of those members of the human race who are not living in the now are merely unconscious of the present. Everything you need, want and desire is here in the Now. You have access to it Now. You don’t have to rob or steal from, maim or slay anyone in order to have it. You had it all the time!
Do not dwell entirely on your desire for money. Money is in and of itself a tool we use to show appreciation for what we desire. We exchange money for that which we would like to have but when we exchange and see money leaving our hands, we then forget that which it was exchanged for. When we forget we exchanged money for a house, a car, paid for a splendid wedding reception, it is after the event we are no longer attached to the appreciation and excitement it initially brought to us. We see money passing through our hands and begin thinking about lack. Thinking about lack is wondering where will the next dollar will come from? How will I make ends meet? How will I pay the next bill? And so on. By this measure of thought not only have we abandoned ‘NOW’ but we are inviting lack into our realm.
Knowing that in this moment peace, happiness, joy, health and abundance reigns, is knowing absolutely that there is no lack. Being in Now and feeling grateful for what we have now will automatically give us more. It is Universal Law.
We need to ultimately Know and Trust that the Universe wants so much to give us what we desire and deserve. We do not have to pillage and steal it, nor do we have to kill and destroy it. If we could only consciously embrace Now, our race and our planet would recover from the atrocities we unconsciously brought with us so that what we leave behind will be abundant for the next generation to enjoy.
