Parents And Children - Still Working Together

While you were living at home, you were told responsibility of how to take care of the homefront. Maybe you had no rent to pay, you just had to pay your cell phone bill, internet bill, school loans, car payment, if you had one, and car insurance while you worked. But, while you were living at home, you had to pitch in and help pay for something, such as food and water. But, again, what would you say if your parents told you that they were in a bind and they needed help from you because you were the only one that had the money to help them? Would you say "No" because you don't want to do it? You will have to understand that living in your parents house is your house too.

Think about this though - What if you were living at home, and you had no bills whatsoever and your parents know that you don't go out there and spend money constantly and that they needed help fast, and you were their only hope? Before you say that you don't want to help out, you should think about all of the times that they provided for you over the years? A couple of examples of help that your parents could need from you could be this:

  • Help with rent for the month (So you and the family don't get evicted)
  • Help with their car payment (So their car doesn't get repossessed)

If your parents ask you to help them, don't get mad about it, do your best to help with the situation, and don't bother them constantly about getting paid back. Family has to work together.

When the time comes for you to leave home, remember, parents and their children must still do their best to work together, because you will continue to need each other, as long as you are doing the right thing for yourself.
