The Benefits Of Drinking Pure Water

Everyone knows water is essential to life.  Water plays a critical role in every function of our bodies.  Water not only sustains life but water improves health, fitness and even our overall appearance.  When your body is trying to eliminate toxins they are often stored in the skin which can give the appearance of premature aging.

Many people are not drinking enough pure water.  The old adage that everyone should drink eight glasses of water a day is obsolete. How much water you should drink everyday depends on your body size, how physically active you are, and even the climate you live in.  Everyday the average person should drink between nine and twelve 8 oz. glasses of water a day to replace fluids lost throughout the day.  Below are some facts of how water benefits the body:

1.  More than 2/3 of the human body, by weight is water.

2.  Water is essential to the function of the cells, tissues, and organs of the body.
    
3.  Water aids the digestive system, regulates metabolism and body temperature by
     heat loss through sweating.

4.   Maintains brain and skeletal function, and cushions joints.

5.   Drinking the recommended amounts of water for your body weight can reduce
      incidence of many diseases and ailments including diabetes, depression, bladder,
      breast and colon cancers which effect many people by helping to eliminate toxins
      from our bodies.

6.   Water carries oxygen and nutrients into all your cells.

7. Our brains are 80% water and can not transmit electrical impulses without the
    conductivity of water.  There have been times when I have had a head ache or feel
    light headed and drink a glass or two of water and feel much better. Sometimes    
    we feel ill because are bodies are dehydrated.
 

These are just a few things that drinking pure water does for the body and our overall health. Water may not be all cure all for certain illness and diseases but by drinking pure water it gives our bodies a fighting chance for good health. Remember we are what we drink.
