Think and Grow Rich Lessons - Chapter 1 :  Thoughts are Things

To anyone that has never read, listened to, experienced or witnessed that thoughts are things; the statement sounds insane. Just think about it. If you did not truly understand your mind, in all of its power... the statement that Thoughts are Things would make you swear that you have just landed on the page of a cult of lunatics!

"... when a man really desires a thing so deeply that he is willing to stake his entire future on a single turn of the wheel in order to get it, he is sure to win."

Mr. Hill is, of course, speaking of Barnes in his determination in his desire to work with Edison; however the truth in the above statement is not limited to this particular story. Anything in which we desire is ours as long as we believe we already have it and take the inspired action associated with the manifestation. The most amazing things seem to occur when we fix our thoughts on what we desire with positive emotion and belief. People just appear in our experience as if the universe places them there as a cooperative component to manifest our desires. In fact, that is EXACTLY what is happening!

Now also, be mindful, that this power works both ways. The universe does not care whether our thoughts are negative or positive, it will deliver to you whatever your mind is fixed upon. Now, of course, this doesn't mean that having a negative thought from time to time is detrimental to your growth. On the contrary, actually. A negative thought will show us exactly what we do NOT want and from there we can more clearly tell what we DO want! This is how many of us have found what we truly desire. For instance, I hated having to call people to fix my computers or set up my internet... so I decided I wanted to get a degree in computer science. Amazingly enough, the cooperative components all moved close to me in the form of hiring managers (that got my first job in IT before I ever finished school) and people that are now great friends for life that helped me aquire better positions in my short time in the industry. The desire to learn more about computers and information technology was so strong that I have increased my roles and salaries over 300% in less than 6 years. There are people that have been in the industry for a couple of decades that have not reached the levels I have achieved in this short time. I do not say this to brag... No, I say this as a testament to the Law of Attraction and that thoughts TRULY are things.

As far as my Network Marketing experiences, I have really just began to embrace what the industry is truly about. Since February 2017, I have learned more than in the past 15 years... thanks to my amazing mentor, Michael Dlouhy and this proven system, Mentoring for Free. Relationships is what it all boils down to... not sales, products, companies, factories, monks in white lab coats scraping mold off the volcano every 3rd full moon with a specially made pair of tungsten forceps!

Why would I mention my network marketing experience?

"It [opportunity] has a sly habit of slipping in by the back door, and often comes disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat."

In 2015, a company that I was working with, was shut down by the FTC. I was reluctantly following a system set before me by my recruiter/sponsor to try to turn everyone into distributors in this company. Now, I really liked the products and they were helping me and my family. They were a little overpriced, but I still used them and didn't understand company greed and ego at this time. I would share the products in my presentation in efforts to turn people that just wanted to be customers into distributors. I did manage to begin having people say yes and was off to building a team. I had a few customers as well, but the company didn't seem to want to pay us for that... nonetheless, I had customers anyway because I knew the products were helping.

Well, as I was saying... late in 2015, this company was shut down. It was shut down for a nothing more than the company's greed and ego. They could have easily avoided this by changing their compensation plan to emphasize signing up new customers and not try to sell the business to people that had no desire to do it. Also, they had several people making income claims, and selling the dream by hiking up the numbers. Because of this, the company and many of us distributors that really enjoyed the products were shafted. This gave me a very bad taste in my mouth about the industry and I swore to never come back. Ha!!

Desire to be more is very strong in me. It was roughly 14 months later, I found myself willing to give the industry one last chance. I decided to get trained properly. I decided I needed a mentor. A real mentor that has built, and continues to build a team with integrity and character. I found it in February of 2017. I found everything I desired because I fixed my thoughts on it so strongly that I would not stop until I did.

The misfortune or temporary defeat that caused me to want out of the industry was simply a blessing. It showed me what I didn't want, and now I have exactly what I DO want.

Because YOU Are Worth It,
John Wiser
