What we do in online marketing and promotional work has some similarities to the ancient art of quilt making. Now, to be clear, my dear spouse is really the subject matter expert when it comes to quilt making, yet I have observed at a respectful distance and noticed that the medium is different but the process is comparable.
Quilts are both useful and expressions of their creator(s). They can be lovingly pieced together literally one stitch at a time by hand or computer woven from sophisticated templates. Some are heirlooms that are intended to benefit special people for generations while others are mass produced knowing that the look and feel of any quilt is preferred by many over other types of cover.
How does that even remotely compare to what we do online you might be asking! Well, I am loving piecing this article together one keystroke at a time to be shared with special people intending it to benefit them in ways that can create income that can be passed on to generations to come. I am also utilizing automation that can distribute this article for and wide in what could be deemed mass production (thank you, Paul and the IBOToolbox team, for your SEO mastery!).
Where my own personalized design work applying is through weaving together IBOToolbox with Smart Media Technologies and Staged to present my primary programs in a complimentary showcase. Combined with WOM Mobile Deals and a couple of other social networking communities and there are more than enough like minded people for me to weave together a group of people with whom I have common ground to work and build sources of income.
I have decided to go with programs that I believe have the right mix of mass appeal and staying power so that the work I do today becomes the foundation upon which tomorrow's efforts will be added. The "flavor of the day" style of programs that we see so much of online can sometimes provide quick and easy earnings, yet the instability of always having to be among the early adopters of the next thing without ever really having enough information to even know if it has good intentions is a more difficult way to keep a good reputation intact.
For those of you that enjoy the excitement and enthusiasm that is often part of pre-launch offerings I would at least recommend a stable base program that provides the ability to display your latest offering (ask about how the HomePagePays is designed to accomplish this just like the Smart Media Desktop and Browser have been doing). Or a showcase like Staged where the framing is consistent even as the message changes.
The world benefits from the huge variety of quilts available for our use and enjoyment ... so does cyberspace provide a framework for weaving together a web of our own making!

 | | Creative analogy Lonnie. This is a lot like weaving using that common needle our keyboard to create the network of the right people, right product, right website, browser etc. We have to decide on the "right" just like the weaver on the "right" pieces. |
