Create Memories

How to create memories is an ability that is worth giving some consideration.
With online business building we read a lot about building a personal brand... that is the art of being a self promoter in a favorable way.

The goal is to have people think of you when they need a product or service that you can provide.

In the past I have been privileged to know some people that have excelled in their ability to create memories.  Let me share just a few that provide us excellent examples of how this can help us with our own business building efforts.

O. P. Schnabel was diminutive in stature yet he became as BIG as Texas in his efforts to rid the roadsides of litter.  As a successful insurance agent in the San Antonio, Texas area Mr. Schnabel could be seen all around town in his Cadillac.  Yet he really began to catch people's attention when he would pull that symbol of success over to the roadside and pick up litter.

Some credit O. P. with the genesis of the "Don't Mess With Texas" campaign that began hugely successful in getting people to think about better ways to dispose of the containers of things being consumed while driving.  It was in the San Antonio area that I first saw the "Litter Is unlAWFUL" sign!  Thank you, Mr. Schnabel.

By the way, another way that O. P. Schnabel kept people thinking about him was to give them his business card that always had a penny attached to it and a message, "As long as you have my business card you will never be broke!"  Those of us that met Mr. Schnabel are certainly richer as a result on the encounter.

Karen Barnes succeeded with her follow up calls better than many of those with whom she was competing for attention by simply hot gluing a bobby pin to her business cards and stationery.  When she called it was as easy as saying, "I am the woman with the bobby pin on my business card (or letterhead); the response was usually an immediate, "... oh, yes, I remember that!".

There are many good examples of our fellow IBOtoolbox members that create memories too.  Bill Bateman has a tagline of, "Bill Bateman - (that’s like Batman with an “E” in the middle I tell people I talk to)". Since pretty much everyone knows Batman it is a word association that makes it easy to recall Bill's name. I also like his signature line of, "Greatly blessed - highly favored & eternally grateful"

Roger Waibel is able to accomplish this by masterfully naming his business entity, Our Legacy Life.  Each time I visit Roger's IBOSocial profile page or read one of his insightful press releases I give some consideration to how my thoughts, words, and deeds are forming my legacy.  Roger also makes good use of automation tools and resources in sharing his message and building his business.

Lonnie E. Shipe, M.A. manages to create memories by inspiring everyone that knows him and anything about his determination to make the best of each day.  His press releases almost always contain a quote that provides enough value that you would benefit even if you did not read on, yet those that DO read what he shares are likely to be inspired and challenged to live fuller lives.  His personal mission statement is, "My project is helping Filipino students to better their lives by providing financial assistance to further their education.  This is an extremely exciting project after observing their poverty first hand.  Myself, I cannot change the world but I can make a small difference."

There are certainly a lot of other IBOtoolbox members that excel in their ability to create memories and I encourage you to turn to them for inspiration and support in discovering how you can follow their examples.

As I have continued my efforts in helping people earn income online I have focused on ways that we can all turn a basic household bill into an additional paycheck ... not as dynamic as the examples I have shard above, yet hopefully worth your time and consideration for how it can benefit you and just about everyone that you interact with.  Yes, my primary program is limited to U.S. residents, but the philosophy can extend to the way that people worldwide are able to maximize cash flow and minimize debt.

All the best to you!
