How To Give Your Business The Slight Edge

You are working hard to build and promote your business, so let me share with you how to give your business the slight edge that can provide you better results today.

One of my favorite books is The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson.  The message Jeff wants to convey is that there are things we can do that will get us the results we want; that these things are easy to do ... yet they are also easy not to do.  So action orientation to take the steps that lead you in the direction you want to go.

As internet marketers we really need to just do TWO things:

  • Collect e-mail addresses

  • Talk with people

See, it IS easy to do ... AND easy not to do it!

Okay, there ARE things that you can do that can accelerate your results.  For example, we use a list building tool that builds a list 5X faster than anything else I know about.  It is NOT a primary business in and of itself, yet it has the ability to not only pay for itself it can also help you cover much of your promotional budget.  With a built in autoresponder and contact manager it can definitely help you accelerate the growth of your business.

Once you have built a list there is still that second component of what to communicate to those that have agreed to receive your message.  I have found that the primary tool I use for much of my interactions with people, my smartphone, is alway a great way to provide value to almost everyone I talk with by simply sharing with them an easy way to turn a basic expense into an additional paycheck.  This information compliments anything else that people are doing.  Since you get greatly benefit from talking with people, it makes since to get paid for using that smartphone too!
