Applied Knowledge Can Be Powerful

Over time I have learned to modify the old cliché "... knowledge is power" to what I feel is closer to reality, applied knowledge can be powerful!

It is not so much what you know as it is what you do with what you know.

When we see the statistics that remind us that approximately 97% of people come up short of reaching their goals and dreams (however they define them) it may be that the biggest barrier was fear of failure.

Interestingly, the fear of failure (and you can also substitute "loss") is a mental mindset that can be more powerful than reality; of course, a person's perspection of reality, for that person, has a way of becoming his/her reality.

Thomas Edison has been famously quoted when asked about his ten thousand attempts at developing a commercially viable lightbulb, "I have not failed. I've just found 10000 ways that won't work."  What percentage of people might achieve their goals and dreams if they adopted Mr. Edison's mindset?

Recently I heard it said, "... success and failure are on the same road, success is farther down the road" and it reminded me of the Chinese proverb, "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"; the unspoken part of that proverb is that the journey is not over until the last step is also taken.

So, about this time you might be thinking, why all the philosophy?  And the answer offered is the hope that you will continue with both your pursuit and application of knowledge.

While it does not financially benefit me to share the Under Armour commercial with you, it provides a visual impact that that might inspire us to keep working on whatever we consider to be worthwhile.

If you want to earn money online then a invite you to explore around inside of this free portal.  The phrase you will hear frequently is "... understand it while you are undertaking it".  When it comes to the financial markets (all disclaimers concerning risk apply) it helps to have a good model of behaviour.  And for those that devote the time to accessing this knowledge you have a couple of very pleasant discoveries ahead!
