Confluence And Validation

Sometimes all it takes is confluence and validation to occur at the same time ... patience can help too!

  • an act or process of merging.

"a major confluence of the world's financial markets"

Much of what we do in building online business(es) involves the process of merging.  We are merging together people with products/services, companies with affiliates, business builders with resources, etc.

When combined with those factors that allow us to find common ground with others (sometimes referred to as "know, like and trust") there can be a mutual validation that results.

Validation is to prove that something is based on truth or fact, or is acceptable.  In our world it can be a challenge to build a level of rapport where things are acceptable.  It can take time and modern technology does not always appreciate the virtue of patience.

Even if you have seen this video titled, Validation, I encourage you to take a few minutes and watch it again ... if it is the first time you have seen it, then I am delighted to share with you one of my all time favorite videos!

The ways in which we impact each other are almost assuredly more complicated than we realize. And because of that "six degrees of separation" aspect (the theory that everyone and everything is six or fewer steps away, by way of introduction, from any other person in the world) there is a good chance that we influence people in ways that we never knew.

Part of the message in the video is to encourage us to take the time to notice something special about others and to give them a genuine compliment regarding it.  It is interesting that our hero, Hugh Thomas Newman, finds meaning and purpose in uplifting others even though he does not often hear the words of appreciation that sometimes flow back to him.  As a matter of fact, his actions DO open doors for him and ultimately allow him to accomplish his "why" in life.

My hope is that others will appreciate you.  When that confluence and validation coincide there can be awesome outcomes.

By the way, click HERE to see a real life example of the power of validation through words of encouragement and kindness.  (yes, you will have to wait through the commercial, but it just might be worth it)
