Essential Elements

Our lives and our lifestyles revolve around some essential elements.

Abraham Maslow provided us a useful model of our hierarchy of needs in his 1943 paper titled, "A Theory Of Human Motivation".

While there have been many adaptations of the original Maslow's Hierarchy Of Needs, it has become accepted as representing the priorities of living.

This stylized graphic is interesting to me because it seems to have the feel of a dynamic flow of our current times without straying too far from the original content.

So, how can all of this help us in our efforts to be successful online marketers?  Well, there is a pretty good correlation between the most essential elements and the size of the market for products and services.  Much of what is promoted online tends to fall somewhere among the "social needs" and that includes the use of modern technology and social communities, yet it largely leaves out some of the most fundamental components of daily living.

IF you are able to establish yourself as a subject matter expert in one of the upper tiers of needs then you can be successful, yet for those that would like to benefit from an expanding marketplace it can be very useful to target levels where you can actually bring new people into the realm of online business building.

For example, a Wordpress plugin application might be useful and appealing to experienced bloggers, but how do you identify who they are, and how do you reach them?  Something more fundamental (an example might be cell phone service) could expand your reach considerably.

In the second tier (from the bottom) among the "safety" needs is listed:  resources

Since Thomas Edison managed to make the incandescent light bulb commercially viable back around 1878 we have considered electricity to be among our basic resources. (An interesting side note, Humphry Davy is credited with producing the first incandescent light in 1802, but it took another three quarters of a century for it to become something that was a commercial success.)

The history of being able to make wireless available to masses is fascinating and has made common household names of companies like SPRINT and Verizon.  Yet the common person has not really ever been able to personally gain from these corporate giants that have become some of the "blue chip" standards in business.

NOW we can!

Many millionaire have emerged from the wireless industry, but the old adage "... it take money to make money" has too often been true.  Around October of last year a program was establish with the goal of providing a way for virtually any U.S. resident to be able to benefit from the opportunities to earn income in the wireless industry.

In order for the market place to really open up the "pay to play" business model that had emerged from the early days of energy deregulation had to be challenged.  What if it was possible to earn income without an out-of-pocket requirement?  What if all you needed to do was just be a customer (or refer a customer)?

All of those "what if" questions have been answered by Tempo Wireless.
