Should You Have A "Line Extension"?

When Apple introduced the iPhone, iPod, iPad and the Apple Watch they were doing line extensions... products intended to complement the Apple computers.

 

Vehicle manufacturers do a similar thing when they offer a hatchback version of a popular sedan, and they may also cleverly co-brand a vehicle where the same basic vehicle is offered as a different model by a companion manufacturer; an example is the Hyundai Tucson and the Kia Sportage.

Once a business has established a connection and relationship with its customers it can make good sense to find ways to offer additional products/services... and IF those products/services can be provided with little additional expense to the business then the profitability can be well worth it!

This article has in mind financial professionals such as real estate agents/brokers, mortgage loan brokers, life insurance agents, CPAs, attorneys, P&C insurance agents, etc.  Yet ordinary folks simply looking for a great way to earn extra income should pay attention too!
