The Science Connecting Health and Emotions

The Science Connecting Health and Emotions Medical research estimates as much as 90 per cent of all health problems are caused or aggravated by stress. The stress-state produces terrible effects through both mind and body. Stress impacts our ability to fight infection, during stress the brain releases unhealthy chemicals and hormones. This affects our immune cells’ operation, reducing their ability to fight infection and inflammation. The stress response causes an increase in heart rate, stress hormones and blood pressure while slowing digestion. Stress is not good for the complexion too. It releases a cascade of pro-inflammatory chemicals into the body, depletes moisture in the skin, breaks down collagen and can trigger pigmentation, outbreaks, eczema and psoriasis. It can even sabotage facial expression. "Ageing is accelerated by stress". Scientific research has uncovered another type of stress that plays an equally devastating role in our health at the cellular level. This research is new, and many physicians are unaware or have not yet had the opportunity to study it's negative effects. It is called Oxidative Stress and the damage it causes is thought to be associated with over 200 aging-related diseases. Until recently there hasn't been an effective approach in reducing this debilitating process of Free Radical production. Video to watch: For more info here:
