10 Quick Tips for More Buyers Using E-zine Advertising When it comes to advertising, I've tried almost everything. I tried free classified ad sites, I tried FFA sites; I even gave banner exchange programs a try. I would sometime get upset when hearing story of how some individuals have become successful from making money on the Internet, an how this has become the biggest market in human history. Maybe so, but how could I reach those buyers marketers? You know those marketers the ones that are buyers. I found out were the buyers marketers hangout, it’s what people call e-zines. E-zines are sometimes called 'opt-in' lists because everyone who receives an e-zine has chosen to do so. And that is why e-zine advertising gets results. People read e-zines and they'll read your ad. If you've matched the e-zine to what they're reading about that you're selling, you've reached your target audience. There is currently around 90,000 e-zines being published every month. So whatever you're selling, there's above likely an e-zine that will take your ad straight to the audience you want to reach. Ezine advertising is not only effective, it's cheap as well. A Single Solo Ad sent out as a stand-alone ad to the entire subscriber base. Here they are: 1. The first and most important rule is: "Track your Ads!" Say you place an ad in 5 different e-zines and get a hundred responses. If you don't track your ads, you won't know which e-zines were pulling responses and which weren't. But just how do you track your ads? For any URL, it's an identical principle: However, if you are going to code your URLs, you'll need a great web stats program to track the coded URLs. Here's another way to code your URLs: for each e-zine ad, create a replica of the homepage and name the page after the e-zine your ad will appear in. Once you've chosen several e-zines that target your audience, subscribe to them and examine the ads closely. Check to see how many ads have the e-zine. You most likely won't get much response from an advertisement in an e-zine who has 15 or 20 ads per issue. If your budget allows, try and have your ad repeated at least three times in a particular e-zine. Most e-zines offer discount packages for bulk advertising. 8. Email address Vs. URL. The good thing about giving an email address is that it gives you the opportunity to send a powerful sales letter to the person who responded to your ad. It is also much easier to track your ads with an email address than a URL. 9. Offer something free inside your ad copy. It'll often tip the balance between a response and no response. 10. Keep your ads short, even when you are not using the number of words you're allowed. Short ads are more likely to be read. Keep your sentences short too; they pack far more power. Use the word 'You'.
