Some years ago I worked in corporate America, where rumors are rampant! I used to say if there is no new rumor by 11 AM you’re free to start one yourself, and if it’s still active at 5 it will come true. In other words the quickest way to torpedo a good thing is starting a rumor. Think of it like this lying for no reason other than boredom.

It beats the heck out of me why anyone would want to deliberately bring up unsubstantiated negative things. Chicken Little says “the sky is falling, the sky is falling” and every chicken in the hen house looks up. If you want to know about something go to a reliable source not to your Internet cronies. Whatever you do don’t start or pass along rumors. Rumors are idle conversations that produce nothing but fear.
Faith and Fear are opposite sides of the same coin. That coin is the power of the spoken word to bring about the good thing that you want or the evil thing that you fear when it is coupled with belief.
The bible says:
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
If you can control your thoughts (beliefs) and your mouth you can turn around the course of nature. Please try not to put your fears in motion by talking about them.
If you are afraid at least keep it to yourself. If you can’t do that then talk about it privately not on the Internet. The walls have ears!
