Are You An Action Taker?

"Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy."

Dale Carnegie

That quote by Dale Carnegie says alot! It surely encourages me to aspire to do more. When I think back over all the time wasted not taking action to work towards what I want, well it's kind of embarrassing.

If you want to accomplish anything you must take action. Whether those actions are right or wrong. If you fail then you learned what not to do and what doesn't work.

If you are busy taking action towards you goals, then you won't have time for fear and doubt to enter your mind. And that is exactly where it exists, only in your mind! The more you do the more confidence you will produce.

Here is where a daily action plan is most helpful. Having a plan in place will keep you moving towards your goals and your worthy ideal.

Now a goal and worthy ideal are not the same thing. A worthy ideal is an idea that you have fallen in love with. It is something you are willing to dedicate your life to. A goal is actually more common. A goal could consist of a new car, a vacation, or even a new home. Would you trade your life for any of those things?

"Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal"

Earl Nightingale

Are the actions you are taking leading you in the direction of your worthy ideal? Do you have a worthy ideal? Is what you are involved in actually worth trading your life for? Are you fulfilling your life's purpose?

I know these are tough questions and the answers may not be readily available. If you are serious, you will ask yourself these questions and search for the answers within yourself.

Once you feel you have the answers it will appear much easier when taking the necessary actions that will move you forward. I am confident that any one of you reading this who has the burning desire to get what they want from life...well it is already yours!
