Time to Reflect...and Time to Project!

"Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every new year find you a better man."

Benjamin Franklin

Time to Reflect...

I do not believe it is possible to come through an entire year unscathed! If you are someone who makes it through life with no scratches and bruises, then you must not be doing much at all. You may be attempting to navigate through life safely...to your death!

As I have set down to reflect over this past year, I am unsatisfied with my own efforts. There was valuable time wasted from lack of focus! Tasks were taken too lightly, even the smallest of them.

Mistakes were made, the biggest being inaction. Of course, I have moved forward some as I am sure you have as well. For me it wasn't enough! I know I can do more, for myself and others.

Decisions were made, some good and some not so good. Decisions must be made no matter the outcome. Without them life would come to a stand still. We should be making committed decisions!

Lessons were learned, goals failed to be reached. We must come to understand our failures and learn what caused them. From all failure there shall be some kind of knowledge gained.

Time to Project...

What will the New Year bring?

Will there be more realized dreams?

Will one of them be yours?

What are you going to do differently to make this your best year ever?

As we prepare for the the New Year, let's keep a few things in mind. Starting with the fact that we are all human...well, as far as I know! Not everyone has ventured as far as others. Experiences and circumstances vary! We all make, and will to continue to make, mistakes. And we are all in this together.

Below are some of the activities I have planned for myself this coming year to stake my claim on this planet. And I strongly suggest that many of you consider taking some time to plan for your success this year...those who haven't already!

  • Make the best decisions that I possibly can using the research and knowledge allowed to me.
  • Use the time given to me more wisely and focus my energy in a more productive manner.
  • Set timely goals and take the neccessary actions to work towards accomplishing those goals.
  • Develop the God given skills within myself, as well as any that I will or have already aquired, to the best of my ability.
  • Take advantage of the tools and opportunities that are at my fingertips to create the life that I choose.
  • Help as many others as I possibly can as it is required of me.

The above are most of what I have in store for myself in the New Year. I have an understanding of what they mean to me. For you, it is not up to me to decide. I can only suggest a pattern of behavior to others.

I wish you all a Productive and Happy New Year!
