I know that I was an “Information Junky”, I just couldn't get enough. How many of us fall into this trap, thinking that the next seminar you take, training course or the next book you read is going to be what you need before you find that illusive success that we're all searching for? So you plug in and spend day after day, week after week, month after month listening to speakers, attending all the training that you can get your hands on or reading book after book but nothing changes you are still stuck in the same place. For many this cycle is repeated over and over again thinking that you just need one more... just one more!
Grant it, going through this process you gain a lot of knowledge but the big problem I see here is that people don't take that acquired knowledge and apply the principles they learned. Most people have attempted a few items but then get stuck and don't carry through. There's an old saying that knowledge is power. That's wrong. The power only comes from applied knowledge with true focus and those who apply this knowledge will reach new levels of success.
My personal break through came by reading Jeff Olson's book the The Slight Edge and daily applying the main principle taught, this has totally transformed my life and business.
"The Slight Edge" philosophy...be Consistent in your Daily actions. Apply what you learn Every Day and always ask yourself: "Are the actions that I am taking today getting me closer to fulfilling my Dreams?"
The key word there is “Apply”... By applying the knowledge you're learning consistently on a daily basis you will experience breakthroughs and will be able to kick the title of “Information Junky” if you found yourself in that trap!!
Jeff Olson has created a social platform called “The Slight Edge” and anyone can join for Free. I did, it's a very supportive and inspiration community and I highly recommend it. If you'd like to join me here's the link: www.slightedge.org/profile/MartyMisner

 | | Thanks Ally, you bet, it's important to keep a balance in order to continue moving forward! |
| | | | | It is true that you can never learn too much. In the long term that's ok but there has to be a limit. spend too much time learning and you don't have enough time for doing. |
