I hate to break this to you but, Job Security no longer exsists. Yes, thats right it is gone. The days of hard work paying off in the corporate world are gone, that is if they ever exsisted in the first place.
Now I know this is not a shock to a lot of folks out there. We are all aware of the problems with jobs or shall I say lack of jobs out there. Many of us had a great JOB, but unfortunatly the economy has taken a huge hit and cuts were and are being made everywhere.
You did everything right, you educated yourself, you polished your resume and landed your dream job. You worked hard and put in your time, you worked for years and made a name for yourself in that company, you got to the top! Now after years of dedication you feel your job is secure your not sweating the situation going on in the world, it can't touch you, you did everything right and worked hard. You go to work to find a Pink Slip waiting for you! Oh my God you think. Why? How?
I did everything I was asked to do and more! There has to be a mistake......
You see your human resource person and they tell you they are sorry but cuts needed to be made and they needed to let even their best people go...we are sorry.
Flash forward...You are sitting at home still stunded wondering how you will make it, how will you take care of your family, pay your bills, oh no my medical benefits...etc. I'm 30-40-50 years old. Who is going to hire me now, you go through your contacts you fill out applications, you go to interviews only to be told your over qualified for entry level and under educated for upper level jobs. But you have an education, yes you do but it is out dated, your not current with all the new programs out there, but I have experience in those things I have been doing them for years in my last position....yes but now we require certificates and diplomas for those things.....etc.
You are now left with out any options...I bet we all wished we had a plan B, a saftey net in place, another source of income that couldn't be taken away.
Well I for one had to find my saftey net after the above. I now have my Plan A and B in place, if I so choose I can even have 24 other plans in place because there are 26 letters in the alphabet, and I can't be fired. The only way they won't work is if I quit.
I am not a quitter and neither should you, there are always going to be hard times, but the sanity in knowing you are the one who is in control of your future is you, makes the hard times bearable. I am in the drivers seat and I have an awesome team with me on my trip to the future. I am less afraid now. I never get out of bed and feel the dread of thinking my job will be gone today.
Find your plan A-B-C today. Take control of your future today, don't wait till it's too late, like I did and so many others did too all because we were afraid to think for ourselves and take a chance on ourselves. The Network marketing field is filled with great options to fit anyones style, just don't let corporate america scare you off, if you don't like where you are today do something for your tomorrow, because left undone you will be in the same place, find your fit and go for it! You have what it takes to succeed in what ever you put your desire and belief in.
If we can't depend on us who can we depend on?
So go find your inner strength and be awesome always!
