Why Is Being Focused Important in Life?

focus, focused, why is being focused important in life, the importance of being focus

Concentrate all your thoughts upon the work at hand. The sun’s rays do not burn until brought to a focus.” Alexander Graham Bell

Don’t fail from a broken focus. Firstly, you need to get focus. Most people spend their entire life not focus on what they want or what they want to accomplish. They are not really focused. Don’t do two things at once. Do one. Get focus on one and once you are successful at one do another remember specificity and then diversification. People involved in multiple businesses focus on one business until it is up and running and then they turn it over to someone else or to their staff to continue it, and then they diversify.

Further more, multi-tasking is multi getting nothing done. Some people pride themselves as multi-taskers. Most don’t get a lot done. They may get a few things done. However, if you focus on one task, you get one thing done then you move to the next and get that done. Most people do a whole cycle while others do a half cycle then move to a next. You are much better off doing a whole cycle than move to the next. You get that one thing done instead of having a whole bunch of unfinished projects. In addition, you might joggle more than one long-term project at a time but those who get things done are avid single-taskers who become possessed by getting the task at hand done.

Secondly, highly effective people eliminate distractions. They know that their business isn’t going to build all my by itself. They identify the biggest time wasting activities that eat up most of their time and they eliminate them without any mercy whatsoever. They just cut them. I’m not doing those anymore. You have to be real with yourself. You have to do tasks that move you toward what you want. There is nothing wrong with taking time to relax. We all have to do that. Most people stagger through a life that is nothing more than a series of distractions that serve no greater purpose for them at all. A reality that sounds depressing to anyone who is pursuing a goal that is bigger than him/her is. It sounds depressing that people will just cruise through life but they do.

Thirdly, highly effective people improve daily. They have a success philosophy that calls for continuously improving themselves every day. If personal growth isn’t pursued, they know it is very easy to find themselves living in a state where progress stagnates and inspiration dies out. “Most people have no idea of the giant capacity we can immediately command when we focus all of our resources in mastering a single area of our lives.” Tony Robbins.

Fourthly, highly effective people think big. They aren’t afraid of pursuing an idea that is bigger than they are. They know that it is easier to think big than to think small and certainly more inspiring to think big than it is to think small. Therefore, when stress or doubt cloud their judgment or problems arises, they take a deep breath and remind themselves if it was meant to be easy then every body will be doing it. So it is not meant to be easy. When you confront something, look at it and move forward, bypass it, let it go. If it was meant to be easy, it probably won’t be worth it. “Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have. Make the Now the primary focus of your life.” Eckhart Tolle.
